I took most of these photos with my home built telescope.

The older ones were done with afocal photography (when camera lens is aimed into the telescope eyepiece). Field of view and vignetting are the greatest issues in afocal photography, but that's what you have to face with fixed lens cameras.

The most recent photos were done with prime-focus (in which the telescope takes the place of the camera's own lens) or with eyepiece projection for high-power magnification.

Contrary to direct viewing, it is quite difficult to get a sharp photo in the telescope. I usually take many photos of the same subject and sometimes I end up without a single photo worth of posting. Nevertheless, it's fun because it's hard :-P
